It is sometimes useful to be able to enter text that will only be visible when in editing mode, but which will not display in reading mode. The syntax for this in QDL is to begin the note with "NB: ", and to enclose the whole thing in curly braces, like this...

 

{ { NB: here is my great private note. } }

 

...but without spaces between the curly braces, or between the curly brace and the "NB".
