Jeffrey has been working for several years now on a model of stellar metamorphosis, which demonstrates that when old stars have finally given up all of their energy, and the flame goes out, what is left is a very familiar object — it's what we would normally call a planet! This makes so much sense that it's pretty hard to refute, though Jeffrey is doing the work to flesh it out into a full theory. Needless to say, we're pleased to see him get on board with what we're doing here — combining ideas and working through the issues in a constructive environment. See
The General Theory of Stellar Metamorphosis for more info.
