Orientation of Field?

I "think" that this is saying that the magnetic field is parallel to the filaments.1
These data indicate that B is perpendicular to the filament along most of its length, diverging only in the most southern regions by between 30° and 50°.
If B is perpendicular to the filaments, then it's parallel, right?
