There was a famine in Canaan, but God (Akhenaten) told Isaac not to go to Egypt. If Isaac was the son of a pharaoh, he was being kept at arm's length. |
So Isaac fell in with the Philistines, but they kicked him out. |
Isaac then moved to Beersheba, and Akhenaten intervened on his behalf, which was necessary if Isaac was to be kept in Canaan, being allowed to go neither to Mitanni nor to Egypt. Then Abimelech agreed to terms. |
Ramose fled Egypt to escape prosecution for killing the Younger Lady (i.e., one of the few people more powerful than himself at Amarna). Once settled in Midian, Ramose married Zipporah, daughter of Isaac (perhaps by a previous wife). |
