2. Comment on Gas Cloud Collisions and Supernovae
It looks like gas cloud collisions would be the first cause of star formation, but when the first star forms in the collision as a supernova, further star formation in the area is triggered by supernovae, instead of by collision. Right? If so, this may be worth adding toward the end of this paper, I guess. Have you stated anywhere that gas cloud collisions should form filaments? Would they form Debye comas first and then filaments? Finally, would all stars form as supernovae? If small stars, like brown dwarfs etc, can form this way, would they show up as supernovae too, or just novae, or something else? I think I reead that only 1 supernova is seen about every 4 years, or maybe 25 years, so it seems like most stars don't reach the supernova stage during formation. Do you agree? Would novae be able to trigger star formation too?
