You said: "Figure 5 shows the ratio between the electrostatic and gravitational forces. At +1, the forces would be equal and additive; at -1 they would be equal and opposite."--- I think you should mention that those are off scale to the right, if I'm reading the diagram right.

Then you said: "But they were far from equal." --- That statement sounds contradictory to the previous statement. Can you revise it?*12285

Your calculations for the diagram assume that the electric force is 10^39 or so stronger than gravity, don't they? Mathis found that at the atomic level the electric force is only about 3 orders of magnitude greater than gravity.*12810 Although you'll probably not accept that, it would be interesting to see what your diagram would show if you showed the calculations using his claim too.
