I really like this idea. I was wondering if we should encourage people to separate out the facts into separate documents, to make it easy for other people to include them in their work. In other words, the facts are the same for everybody, and any theory needs to work from the same sources. Thus there should be clear statements of the known data, and you shouldn't have to read through somebody else's theory to extract the source data. Such "fact sheets" might even be in a different branch of the hierarchy, where you would find nothing but known facts, and you would pick through them to find the ones you wanted to explain with your theory.
