Crowdsource the evaluation of hypotheses.
Much time is wasted as we all independently evaluate the various hypotheses out there. It would save a lot of effort if we pooled our resources, and collaboratively evaluated hypotheses, such that a newcomer to a particular topic didn't have to start over from scratch. Rather, the next person in line should be able to simply review the last person's evaluation, and if it sounds reasonable, the entire analysis doesn't have to be performed again. Ultimately, this can lead to a much more complete evaluation of competing hypotheses. Instead of everybody taking the time to come up with an initial take, each person will pick up where everybody else left off, contributing new points instead of re-inventing existing ones.
