There is a difference between forums and chat rooms, in the way they are displayed, and in the way they are used. They both lend themselves to different types of exchange, which is why we have both. And we have forums and chats that are specific to the field of focus, which is necessary so that people don't have to slug through topics that don't interest them. So all online software provides this capability. QDL does it by allowing users to create threads, chats, and articles in sub-folders, organized however they like.
