8. Star Clusters

Star Clusters are of two types: Globular Clusters containing ten thousand to a few million tightly grouped stars; and Open Clusters containing dozens to a few hundred loosely clustered stars.

Our galaxy has about 150 Globular Clusters, but some galaxies have over a thousand. Globular Clusters are located above and below the galactic disk, while open clusters are located in the disk.
