The Great Flood and Younger Dryas event likely occurred about 2,500 to 3,000 BC when Earth and the other planets were transitioning from the imploding interstellar filament to orbits around the Sun. The Great Flood deposited most of the sedimentary rock strata, which is why the strata are mostly parallel or straight, not eroded much, and why the sand, lime and clay ended up in separate layers, instead of mixed together. The oldest tree dates to about 2,500 BC. There was advanced civilization at that time, which had setbacks due to extensive cataclysms. There's very possibly "ethereal" conscious existence beyond death involving finer photonic matter and that consciousness may be largely responsible for evolution of religions and civilization away from belief in angry gods toward belief in universal caring or the like.
