The mass of the solid/liquid Earth has remained the same, but with expansion, surface gravity decreased, and it has lost a lot of its atmosphere.
In a much thicker atmosphere, the dinosaurs would have been more buoyant. Thus larger animals would have been possible, as well as flying dinosaurs.
