re: co-working documents

By that I assume that you mean collaborating on the authorship and editing of a document? If so...

By default, documents that you create are only editable by you. After the first submission, you can re-open the document for editing, by clicking the gear icon, and selecting one of the "edit: " options. And you're the only one with the rights to do this.

In more advanced workflows, you can grant edit rights to other people, so that they can open & edit the document as well. If that's what you want to know, just ask. The "MM glossary/index" might only be editable by Lloyd, but you can probably add comments at the end of it (depending on how Lloyd set it up), and then let Lloyd integrate the material into the document.

In another blog entry you asked if there is a limit to the size of the posts — the answer is no. One of Lloyd's posts had over 700,000 characters. So if text is getting truncated when copying-and-pasting between QDL and something else, it is some other kind of problem. But once you get used to the QDL editor, that type of problem goes away. I know it's frustrating having to learn a new editor, but I actually prefer the "edit: full" editor in QDL over MS Word. Like everything, it takes getting used to, but now that I'm familiar with it, I find it to be more reliable and more predictable than Word. For the time being, I'd suggest that you keep your workflow simple, and learn the advanced features later.

Anyway, whatever questions you have, just ask, and I'll see if I can help. Cheers!
